To further our ongoing mission and meet the growing need for hospice care, the Franciscan St. Francis Hospice House will provide compassionate, end-of-life care in a home-like residential facility. The wooded, natural grounds will provide patients and families a peaceful, tranquil setting.

As a part of our mission of “Continuing Christ’s Ministry in our Franciscan tradition,” Franciscan St. Francis Health has been providing in-home hospice care for more than 22 years. The St. Francis Hospice House will make it possible for us to extend and deepen holistic, end-of-life care in an inpatient setting.
The free-standing Hospice House will provide a home-like environment with the most compassionate medical care. The beautifully wooded Hospice House grounds were carefully selected for their natural setting to provide a peaceful place for patients and loved ones to relax, reflect and meditate.
As the only comprehensive inpatient hospice facility on Indianapolis’ south side, the Franciscan St. Francis Hospice House will meet a growing need for inpatient hospice care in south-central Indiana by combining superior end-of-life medical care within a comforting environment.
Funded by donations from area residents and organizations, the not-for-profit St. Francis Hospice House will rely on a close partnership with the south-central Indiana community to provide high-quality, holistic care for all patients, families, and loved ones, regardless of their financial situations.
To date, the campaign has raised nearly $4.6 million in gifts and pledges towards construction of the Hospice House. There remains significant investment and naming opportunities related to the Hospice House project.
