Franciscan Hospice House
Franciscan Hospice House – Opens doors to patients on December 8, 2015
As a part of our mission of “Continuing Christ’s Ministry in our Franciscan tradition,” Franciscan Health in Central Indiana has been providing in-home hospice care for more than 22 years. The Franciscan Hospice House is making it possible for us to extend and deepen holistic, end-of-life care in an inpatient setting.
The free-standing Hospice House provides a home-like environment with the most compassionate medical care. The beautifully wooded Hospice House grounds were carefully selected for their natural setting to provide a peaceful place for patients and loved ones to relax, reflect and meditate.
As the only comprehensive inpatient hospice facility on Indianapolis’ south side, the Franciscan Hospice House is meeting a growing need for inpatient hospice care in south-central Indiana by combining superior end-of-life medical care within a comforting environment. Funded by donations from area residents and organizations, the not-for-profit Franciscan Hospice House relies on a close partnership with the south-central Indiana community to provide high-quality, holistic care for all patients, families, and loved ones, regardless of their financial situations.
To date, the campaign has raised over $10.3 million in gifts and pledges towards construction of the Hospice House. There remains significant investment for an endowment and naming opportunities related to the Hospice House project.
